Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej and is now Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born November 12, 1961. She was the first Romanian to be awarded a score of 10 in the Olympic contest. Bela Karolyi, who later became a Romanian Gymnastics Coach, came across Comaneci in the age of the age of six. Comaneci was the first to compete for time at the national junior championships, placing 13th. Following that, she became champion. In 1972, in an event for communist-controlled countries' juniors before the Olympics, she won three gold awards. Then in 1973 and 1974, she won the champion of all juniors. In addition, she won four gold and one silver in the first competition of her senior level and was held in the year 1975. It was the first time that she competed as a senior. In 1976 she became the first female to complete reverse double salos using the uneven parallel bar, as part of her demount. She won the title from the American Cup, held in New York City. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In her teens, she began performing in travel shows like Ice Capades as a skater as well as her younger sibling Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol began her career in the entertainment business at the age of a teenager. When she was a child she began her journey as the figure skater alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. The show featured dramatized ice skating spectacles.
