Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born 12 November 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now OnestiGheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onesti] Romania). She was the first person to reach a flawless 10 on an Olympic event. Bela Karolyi was later Romanian gymnastics coach, discovered Comaneci when she was just seven years old. Comaneci competed for the first time in the 1969 national junior championships, placing 13th. The following year she won the title of champion. In 1972, at a meet of communist countries juniors prior to the Olympic Games, she won 3 gold and silver medals. Then in 1973 and 1974 she was named the champion of all juniors. She won against Russian Lyudmila Torishcheva, the five-time European Champion in her first senior international event in 1975. In the event, she took home four golds as well as a silver. In 1976, she was the winner of the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games. She also became the first woman in the history of sport to take off the parallel bars by using the double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager she started appearing on traveling shows like Ice Capades as a skater along with her younger sibling Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne is a United States citizen, born on the 6th of September, 1942, in Chicago Illinois. Carol began her professional career as an entertainer as a teenager. In her early years she began her journey as a figure skating performer with Nina Wayne in the travelling show called Ice Capades. The shows featured ice skating shows that were performed accompanied by theatrical music.
