Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, the French city of Puy-deDomme on August 9, 1976. She is the oldest child among four children. Since a young age, her dental surgeon parents and her teacher mother encouraged her passion of drama and theater. This passion that trumps her first desire to be an animal scientist. Her meteoric rise as an actress in her early years was rapid and accompanied by early success. Prior to beginning her acting career, Tautou took part in Jeunes Premiers an French show on TV that focuses on talent sponsored by Canal+ in 1998. She also won the title of Best Young Actress at during the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. Tautou is a pupil of in the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris as a child and was a student there from young age but has sworn off her Catholic childhood. Now, she claims to be a non-Catholic. Neben her acting, Tautou pursued modelling and was the face for L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. Apart from her acting career, she has an interest in photography. The actress recently showed some images in the Arles Film Festival with the name Superficial. Her photographs are largely about fame and celebrity. Also, they include self-portraits as well. Audrey Tautou became a star and gained international recognition with her role debut as Amelie Poulain in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie. Amelie achieved international success on the screen and was awarded awards across the world. The film is still the most successful French language movie across the US. The following year, she was a part of British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Jeunet Un long Sunday de Faancailles. Then Tautou moved to Hollywood to work in Hollywood, where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
