April Lockhart

April Lockhart, born in 1995 on the 4th of July, began taking piano and guitar lessons from age seven. Her interest in songwriting was awakened. at the age of 12, April wrote her first song Different. At the age of 14 April spent a lot of her time to writing and practicing songs. Then she began to take trips to write with her father in NY in New York and LA. April was the month that she began to write about other issues in her book Take My Hand to help her friends who were dealing in the face of peer pressure, disability or suicide. Lockhart also enjoys an increasing popularity as a lifestyle influencer as well as a spokesperson for the popular Clean Beauty company Ilia. Her birthplace didn't come having a left-handed hand, which is what makes her the person she is. It's just not the full story. Lockhart acknowledges her handicap on her Instagram account, but she isn't making it the focal point of it. What message is it sending? This is the message That we all carry numerous identities. We're much way more diverse than we think we're. I do not want this to be the only thing that defines me. I don't intend to become an influencer in which I only talk about because there are so many other things about my life. Lockhart speaks via video from her house in Nashville. The issue doesn't affect my everyday activities. I conduct my business as usual and have come up with different ways of adapting. But it's also a part of me and I feel it's important to talk about. Lockhart's self-acceptance journey is one that will last a lifetime, but she has been a source of inspiration in this regard. However, she admits to going through phases of insecurity with her body, and also feeling uncomfortable in certain clothes which showed her arms. Nowadays, she dresses what she's comfortable in and post images of her outfits to social media, she is proud of herself. Self-love, according to her, is like a journey. "I don't think you'll ever get there," she said. That's true of everyone regardless of how much they are afraid. It's my opinion that having those close to you who truly know you and see your feelings is crucial because they'll be the people who will remind you what you worried about?
