Actor Katherine Heigl is opening her mind about being raised in an environment that was a "white bubble" and how the realisation has impacted how she raises her adoptive multiracial children. In an interview with her, Katherine Heigl said in the past that with regards to skin colour the issue isn't that important. But after speaking to her sister who is adopted in South Korea she realized just the different ways society treats the children. "I wanted to know Meg what she thought about being that she was treated differently when going out with our parents and the times she was out by herself. She answered, "Oh yeah, always!" Heigl explained to Parents: "That was when I was aware of how foolish I had made me feel." The singer became angry at the time, and chose to use that anger to support her two adopted daughters. The couple, who are married to Josh Kelley and their son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. 4. married for 13 years. The couple adopted their daughters Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide 8 years old who is Black, in 2012.
